Ephesus - House of Virgin Mary - Sirince Tour (Full day)
 
Full day Ephesus tour includes a visit to the ancient city Ephesus which used to be the most important commercial center of the western Anatolia, the House of Virgin Mary where Mary had spent her last day, the Basilica of St. John where is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill and the Temple of Artemision which is known as one of the seven wonders of the Antic World. 
 
Tour Programme
 
You will be greeted by our tour guide at Sheraton Cesme Hotel. After an approximately 2 hour drive, tour will start with the visit of the best-preserved and restored ancient city in Turkey.  Our visit in Ephesus ruins will include - Odeon,Temple of Hadrian, Roman Baths, Celsius Library and the Theatre. As we walk through this ancient site we will notice the streets paved with marble that gives a hint to this city’s great wealth many years ago. 
 
After the ancient city, we will drive to a pretty old Orthodox village called Sirince (meaning pretty) that was settled by freed Greek slaves who named the village as Cirkince (meaning ugly) to prevent others from following them. Along the narrow streets of the village, you will be able to see characteristics of typical Greek houses and you will have the chance to taste many sorts of homemade wines made of different fruits. Also you will be able to enjoy the scenery because the little village is located on top of a mountain.

Pergamum (Bergama) Tour (Full day)
 
Built on a conical hill rising 1,000 feet above the surrounding valley, Pergamum (also spelled Pergamon) was an important capital city in ancient times. The city of Pergamon was the ancient Greek and Roman cultural center and  home to two of the country's most celebrated archaeological sites: Pergamum's acropolis and Asclepion are both listed among the top 100 historical sites on the mediterranean.

You will be greeted by our tour guide at Sheraton Cesme Hotel.  After an approximately 2,5 hours trip we will reach to Bergama.  We will visit 3 main parts of the ancient city which are: the Acropolis, whose main function was social and cultural as much as it was sacred; the Lower City, or kingdom of the lower classes; and the Asclepeion, one of the earliest medical centers on record. The Asclepion of Pergamon was the world’s first hospital. Pergamum had the second best library in the ancient Greek civilization.
